We ARE alive. Around the world, people are no longer asking IF there is such a thing as the Knowledge Economy; they are asking HOW they can participate. This is common language to those of us within the E100; but 2006 will afford us ways to dovetail expertise and aspirations with one another as never before.

We have been together for many years...albeit virtually. There have been innovation ups and downs. Many of us have been fortunate to meet face-to-face in New York, Helsinki, Monterrey and Barcelona. Now, we will head for the 5th International Roundtable in Oman - www.wsie.org. More information will follow.

The good news is that the children's book - In Search of Innovation - has been published, the E100 Readings on Knowledge Economics: Principles, Practices and Policies will be released the end of this month, the State-of-the World Report on Knowledge Innovation Zones will also be released and we have evidence of success in applying the concepts real-time in places like the ministries of Egypt. Again, more information will follow.

As we move forward, the message for me is that we need not agree on everything. It is more important that we have our aspirations set on the similar vision and direction (and I believe we do). We will walk together...
