[E100 Barcelona Alert #6] - NEW Dates
for the Barcelona Events - 13-17 November 2004
Dear E100: En route to Barcelona... Please note that the dates have been CHANGED for the Barcelona Roundtable to accommodate more E100 who want to be involved! The NEW dates are 15-17 November 2004! [NOTE: The Business Meeting for the ENTOVATION Group/Alliance (EG/A) members is scheduled for the previous 2 days, the 13 and 14th; so please plan accordingly!] Several have already indicated their intent to participate; and these new dates should provide even greater flexibility. Most important, we need to know your intentions in advance to be able to plan optimal dialogue among us! You can see the updated brochure - http://www.entovation.com/mailing/ega-barcelona-pre.pdf. Things are evolving rapidly... Angel Arbonies (Spain) is developing the agenda with members of the ENTOVATION Group/Alliance and the local sponsors, including Mondragón Innovation and Knowledge (MIK) and Barcelona Activa. Knowledge Systems Metacommunity, the KM Cluster, and the Association of Knowledge Work also endorse the meeting. This is in addition to the sponsor members of the ENTOVATION Group/Alliance. There have been a series of E100 Alerts on the event plans, and more will be forthcoming as new speakers and sponsors are confirmed. This is a short-list: HOTEL: You can see the hotel information posted on the website, but little has changed in terms of logistics. We encourage you to make your reservations early...NOW while you are thinking about it! For booking, please contact using as
subject ENTOVATION HOTEL RESERVATION CARLSON WAGONLIT Travel In the KNOWLEDGE ZONE: We have announced the new Knowledge Zone site - www.inthekzone.com - where you can register and discover initiatives around the world using the knowledge and innovation agenda. An example of IDEAS/Boston as one illustration; but the Global Knowledge Zone Map provides 100+ others. KNOWLEDGE CITIES OBSERVATORY (KCO): The launch of the Knowledge Cities Observatory is planned with 4 preliminary dialogue themes outlined to begin. Several cities have indicated interest in participating - have you invited yours?! Is your city one that should be featured? KNOWLEDGE CITIES MANIFESTO: Check out the Knowledge Cities Manifesto to share with others. The ENTOVATION GYROSCOPE: We have announced an update on the courses available. More have been added even since the announcement! The Barcelona event will provide an opportunity to showcase and explore the depth and scope of materials. E100 Readings - Knowledge Economics: Reserve your copies now (and for your friends!) at the pre-publication price of only $25 for a 3-volume set of 900 pages! And more... Remember, this is the 4th International Roundtable we have convened - others having been in New York, Helsinki and Monterrey, Mexico. But this one combines the 1st business meeting of the ENTOVATION Group/Alliance (EG/A) and the launching of the Knowledge Cities Observatory (KCO). Most important, it represents an opportunity for E100 to continue their global conversations - deepen friendships and make new colleagues. Many new E100 have been added since our last meeting. You've met them on-line; meet them in person! And so, reserve your space early...time is ticking away. As the Barcelona Forum 2004 continues, it is likely that more visitors will flock to the city to partake in a truly historical set of events. And of course, let me know if you are coming...or even trying to make arrangements so that I can try to accommodate YOUR expertise in the dialogue that will be happening. Let me know even if you are only a 'maybe'! Hope you are enjoying an 'entovating' summer... Debra |
