Dear
Debra, This
half-day workshop aims to introduce partners and participants to a new
concept in smart building technologies. Traditionally, smart building
technologies have focused on cost reductions and environmental
sustainability. The workshop will explore the latest developments for
integrating physical and virtual environments to improve the cost
effectiveness of next generation building management technologies but in
addition, it will also explore new opportunities to use buildings to generate
income or add value to buildings through visitor relationship management and
richer experiences. Participants will include industrial and
academic partners aiming to work with the SGI in smart building applications
and participants aiming to get an introduction to the uses of serious games
and virtual worlds for smart building applications. There are a limited number of places available for this
event, so please book early. Agenda 12:00 – 12:30 Registration &
