Navigating the Global World - Global World Day IV
by Debra M. Amidon

For the last three years even before the remarkable Millennium CNN Broadcast - John Hibbs, Director of the Benjamin Franklin Institute (San Diego, California) has architected a tour around the learning world time zone by time zone. Last year the event attracted over 7,000 dedicated participants who were able to explore innovations from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe during Global Learn Day (GLD).

The aim of this year's event Global Learn Day IV is to showcase, worldwide, innovators in education and training through use of the Internet with the mission to improve accessibility and affordability for all. Now that we have generated such interest in The World Bank, the United Nations, the OECD and most other national governments and international enterprises, this year's series of events promises to be even more relevant and influential. People from developing and industrialized nations are coming to a common language and shared vision as to what this Knowledge Economy might afford us all.

ENTOVATION®'s participation will be in the form of making available one version of the Knowledge Concert. It was filmed at PDVSA (Venezuela) at their Foro Internacional Gerencia del Conocimiento last year (See I3 UPDATE/ENTOVATION News No. 37) where 450 of their executives were exposed to the most progressive knowledge concepts and practice. And we will have a series of discussions based upon the multi-cultural aspects of the knowledge movement - the individual level, the enterprise level and the global level.

Most important and significant will be the introduction for the first time of all Map participants to meet one another. All these months, they have each experienced a relationship with ENTOVATION® from being colleagues on a Network to prosperous business partners. Most of you have seen the summary of their comments that appear in the Global Momentum of Knowledge Strategy. Others have also reviewed the Meta Views as analyzed by Jan Wyllie, TrendMonitor International (UK), in the ENTOVATION 100. But very few have and understanding of the individual and collective talent. Do not lose the opportunity to witness the interaction of what promised to be a seminal event in ENTOVATION® history.

The event takes place on the Internet on October 7th starting at 00:01 GMT and ending at 23:59. i.e. for the US East Coast this means from 7 October at 8 p.m. to 8 October 7:59 p.m. It has six simultaneous tracks:

o Innovation and ENTOVATION®
o Champions and Opportunity
o ISO and Quality
o Tools and Technology
o Community Building
o Judicial Reform

The event is open to all. Participants can learn from the "best and the brightest" in the world of education and technology through interactive participation in real time and by way of synchronous (webcasting) and asynchronous communications.
